BCA Built Environment Transformation Award 2022
Building and Construction Authority (BCA) rolled out the inaugural BCA Built Environment Transformation (BET) Award this year which recognises building projects that show commitment towards transformation through high standards in sustainability, productivity, digitalisation and other attributes that support capability building, workforce development, and innovation.
Our first private residential PPVC project, The Tapestry, was the winner of the BET Award under the Residential Buildings category.
The entire project team including developer, architect, consultants and us as the builder collaborated very closely and the adoption of integrated digital delivery (IDD) has streamlined our collaboration as we made use of digital tools for all stakeholders to access single source of common data to facilitate remote collaboration.
We were able to align our objectives and priorities, jointly review the actions and processes and better coordinate among ourselves and our value chain partners to save time in production with better quality control, less material wastes and on-time deliveries of materials.
Through the team’s hard work and close collaboration, the project was able to achieve 30% productivity improvement through the adoption of Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction, achieved Quality Mark (Star) and CONQUAS (Star), and was awarded BCA Green Mark Platinum.
Executive Director Mr Neil Yong represented us to receive the BET Award at the opening ceremony of the International Build and Environment Week on 6 September 2022. We are thankful to our project team and all stakeholders involved who have made this possible.
